How the zodiac compatibility checker works

Each pairing page breaks the match down into the areas people actually argue and bond over: emotional connection, communication style, and overall chemistry, rather than reducing everything to a single yes-or-no verdict.
Zodiac sign compatibility rests on a few structural ideas. Every sign belongs to an element — fire, earth, air, or water — and signs of the same or complementary elements (fire with air, earth with water) tend to understand each other’s instincts without much translation. Each sign also has a modality (cardinal, fixed, or mutable) that describes how it initiates and sustains, and a ruling planet that sets its underlying drive. The geometric angle between two signs matters too: trines (four signs apart) flow easily, squares (three apart) generate friction and growth, and oppositions attract precisely because each holds what the other lacks.
Read the results as a description of tendencies, not a verdict on your relationship. A "difficult" pairing names the friction points two signs are likely to hit — pace, money, emotional expression — which is useful exactly because you can see them coming. An "easy" pairing names what comes naturally, which still has to be maintained.
